I began attending RHCC over 20 years ago and it has been a huge gift to my life in so many ways. I was immediately inspired by the teachings and sermons of the Rev. Dr. Ralph Ahlberg. Each sermon spoke to me, connected me closer to God, giving me a lens for how to live a Christian life. This continues today. Sunday services are my quiet reflection time and I treasure them because I leave RHCC on Sundays feeling reset, calm, and assured I am loved and cared for by God. My faith continues to grow. My friendships at RHCC are also a huge gift and reason I love this special community. The community of RHCC includes so many intelligent, caring, and loving individuals — it is a joy to worship, share, and work together. Over 20 years I have participated in so many special RHCC gatherings, many of which have become special memories and traditions. I’ve been involved in Worship and Christian Education committees as my education from Hartford Seminary has always inspired me. Today I’m inspired by the many causes RHCC members are taking on including efforts to become a Green Campus as well as the resettlement of Afghan families. I’m most inspired and excited to see and feel God’s energy in the work of RHCC members as well as our caring and talented staff. Our little community has and will continue to make a difference in this world as RHCC is filled with many motivated, gifted, and caring leaders. I also love exercise, hiking, gardening, traveling, entertaining, golf, and of course, spending time with my daughter, family, and friends! All my life I have felt loved, cared for, and inspired by God. Knowing God is always with me has given me strength to live a full life with courage and care. Relaxation?  Haven’t gotten there yet!  Dig my feet into the sand and read the entire newspaper or dive into a good book. Cooking and baking are quite an enjoyment, which I love to share with others.
