Joe Huley, Charter Trustee
I am a second generation and a lifelong member of RHCC. Our church has been a central part of my family’s life for as long as I can remember. The friendships that were started in Sunday School and Youth Fellowship are still part of my daily life even though most of my friends live far away. That’s one of the things I love about RHCC, the friendships I have developed, and the sense of community that our church provides. In a time when we can all feel disconnected, alone and adrift, our church is a lifeboat in a stormy sea. Over the years, I have taught Sunday School, I’ve sung in our church choir, I was a member of the Board of Trustees, I was the Secretary and Chairman of our Board. Currently I’m a Charter Trustee. In the local community, I have been a member of the RTM. I was the past Chairman of the Alarm Appeal Board, and I have served on the town’s Board of Assessment Appeals. I am a member of the Board for the Banksville Community House and the past President of that Board. I am a Volunteer Fireman, an EMT and the Secretary of the Banksville Independent Fire Department, serving backcountry Greenwich, Stamford, and Westchester County, NY. When I think about the important events in my life, my Baptism, my Confirmation, my Marriage, the Baptism and Confirmation of my children, as well as my lifelong friendships are all connected to the wonderful church that I call home, Round Hill Community Church.
